This is a great example on how you can create 'an event' on your main website and hence main URL, without falling in the pitfall of creating a seperate micro-site with another URL that you'll have to promote. It also shows how interactive can reinforce an idea. Probably, MINI did not push the idea of domination that far in traditional media...
From Adverblog : "In Canada, Taxi has created the MINI "Dominate Winter" interactive section on the car's main website. Following the concept of "domination", a woman dressed in black leather welcomes users with the message "Click as hard as you like" (supported by background voice message and video). All the MINI’s characteristics for a perfect performance during winter time are explained in a sexy and ironic way, with an excellent copy and a series of effective animations."

Does your job suck? Find one that doesn't. That's the motto of the on line IT job finder, Dice.com. Their game certainly does not suck.
It's the classic "your boss sucks" game where you get to take out your aggression following a bosses cocky, buzz-word laden tirade, all video-tised. After you've selected your target on an office map, you can take out your aggression by picking out of 3 instruments or weapons, f.e. a pizza launcher, a jelly donut bazooka, etc. A bit childish, but I think that every IT'er (especially the male species) are 'in' for this kind of fun.
Unfortunately, you can not handle the trigger of the weapons yourself. You just have to watch "your boss" being aimed at with pizza slices or donuts. Poor actors !
I think this one is part of a teasing campaign - for a new product in the entertainment branche.
You are in the driver's seat of a taxi. The passenger swings to the left or the right when you hit the arrows on your keyboard. Hitting hidden keys (like S, F, W, H, E, P, M, N, B) gets you more entertainment. Surprising and amusing ! It kind of reminds me of the Subservient Chicken or the Tickle me from Axe.
But what's the point, who's it for ? More info or entertainment to come on Nov 14th as the site states ... .
It's a pitty though that the site does not include a remind-me-via-email or a forward-to-a-friend function. But, since I'm so curious, I've already added a reminder into my Calendar and I've already forwarded it to some people ...
Via Threeminds, who are also behind the campaign and who state that they will soon launch an integrated campaign.
Update (15/11) : The company behind the campaign appears to be a brand-new mobile entertainment network, Sprint Power Vision, that delivers live tv, music downloads and multiplayer games to your mobile phone (US only) : entertainment anytime as the url reads. They offer the access, the content and the phones in one package. Another kind of triple play in the mobile market. Looks promising. Hey, I thought those Americans were lagging behind on the mobile market ... does not really seem the case.
Advertising agency, Deutsch Inc, has created a website that spawns ideas based on your briefing. They call it the Ad Conceptor. You select the type of product (from telco to beer), the tone of the campaign (emotional, edgy, ...) and the demographics of the target you would like to reach (men, women, ...) and the Ad Conceptor gives you an idea presented through a short video.
All ideas generated through the Ad Conceptor are so obvious, so over the top, so typical and not original at all. F.e. try Beer + Edgy + Men. Right, in order to prove that you need a decent agency to come up with Big Ideas for your brief.
And just to be sure that you don't run off with their ideas, Deutsch trademarked the web site ;-)
Of course, Lynx (Axe in the UK) could not stay behind. Discover the latest Subservient Chicken 'copy' : Lynx Girls Live. If you ask me : it's bit lame and boring compared to some other copies.
Lynx did not add much to this (new?) kind of interactive advertising, except perhaps the 'damn' QWERTY keyboard that you need to use to interact with the girls.
The Lynx Girls leave you with the same feeling as having watched Police Academy 7 (after you've seen the first 6 ones). A particular posting on Uselessjunk.net and the reaction upon the posting says it all :
From 'gravityrides420' :
"Type in: Bed- they sorta kinda fuck
Ass-they shake their asses
Cold,Lick,or cream- they eat ice cream
Suck-They eat bannanas
Spray- They spray that shit to eleviate the room of stanky pussy perhaps
Water, Wet-They get a kiddie pool and frolic a bit
Dance- they dance
Jump- They jump on the bed
Naked, Strip- They run behind the changing thing and act like stupid fucks
Kiss- they blow you a kiss
theres probably more but im not going to post em cos i feel stupid already. it's five o clock in the morning give me a break"
From Adrants : Billy the Finger promotes Virgin Mobile
This one consists of a website with several video episodes involving a shady cell phone salesman who attempts to convince Billy to sign up for one of those cell phone plans. The execution provides the viewer with the option to make decisions for Billy and view the various outcomes which include a trip to prison, a threesome, a hot cheerleader, circus acts, unintentional rear entry and finger burning.
According to AdRants, the site is part of a Canadian Virgin Mobile Campaign and is being promoted with fake posters in Toronto which don't mention Virgin Mobile but simply point to the Billy the Finger website. The website, as all viral-intended creations do, has a send to a friend feature which is labeled, "Finger A Friend". I agree with AdRants that it's well done and amusing enough to create interest in checking out the various chapters of the story.
This viral is part of a series of online brand building executions for the Axe brand in Europe (known as Lynx in the UK), targeting 16-20 year old lads.
A strong and simple interactive experience combining video and Flash. It has already received more than 2 million visitors, with an average interaction time of 8.54 minutes - according to Dare, Axe's digital agency. Visit : http://www.axefeather.com
3M UK recently launched a massive integrated online marketing campaign, with online advertising, e-mail marketing and a dedicated website : http://www.3meverywhere.com. This site features 3M products, but most of all hosts a unique interactive movie / game. The game idea is terrific : it's engaging and entertaining while showcasing the 3M products.
It's one of the best innovative digital marketing cases I've seen lately. And that, in a B-2-B context!
Flood of subservient viral applications
Subservient? What does it mean in the first place ? In short, 'slavish', obedient, committed to do the job, ... More on http://www.wordreference.com/definition/subservient
It all started with the http://www.subservientchicken.com, a website that mimics the look of an Internet cam to promote a new chicken sandwich from Burger King. Here's a list of things the chicken will and won't do : http://dev.magicosm.net/cgi-bin/public/corvidaewiki/bin/view/Game/SubservientChickenRequestList
